12 May Best time of year to visit Dubai
Dubai is home to cutting-edge architecture, exciting desert adventures and incredible food. Many couples visit Dubai looking for a romantic getaway and we don’t blame them. From the iconic Burj Khalifa to the picturesque Sunset Beach, there’s so much to do in Dubai. However, choosing the right time of year to visit is crucial to make the most out of your trip. Today we’re going to cover the best months to visit Dubai and how to maximise your couples retreat.
When should you visit Dubai?
Interestingly, summer is not the best time to visit Dubai. As you may be able to guess, temperatures in Dubai rise to 40°C in the summer. Whilst we all enjoy a bit of sun, too much spoils the fun. However we should note that whilst tourism is low in the summer in Dubai, there is still plenty to do. Dubai is home to some world class hotels, malls and restaurants and they have top of the range air conditioning throughout. So, if you’d prefer a bit of peace and quiet and aren’t as bothered about visiting the beaches, June, July and August could be a great time to visit.
November to April is actually the peak season in Dubai. The average temperature in November is still an impressive 25°C which is more than enough for you to enjoy your romantic getaway to the fullest. By February, temperatures tend to cool with highs of 24°C and lows of 15°C, making for a pleasant warm atmosphere. As you would expect, these months are when costs are highest and the beaches are busiest. But if you’re looking for the full Dubai experience this is when we recommend visiting.
It is important to note that you can visit Dubai during Ramadan, but it is very important that you are respectful of the event and cultural expectations if you do so. Typically this means not eating, drinking or smoking in public. It’s also worth noting that most shops and cafes will be closed during the day and open later in the evening. Ramadan changes each year so if you’re considering a trip to Dubai, be sure to check when Ramadan takes place that particular year.
