09 May 4 things to pack for the Seychelles
Vast deep blue waters, unspoiled beaches and plentiful sea life are just a few of the reasons most people visit the Seychelles. But, there’s far more for you and your partner to do and see in this magical location. The Seychelles has some wonderful hikes, divine restaurants and some fascinating locations to visit. Today we’re going to share with you our top 4 recommendations to pack for your trip to the Seychelles.
A Bathing Suit
Now there’s really no surprises with this one. A bathing suit is the staple of any beach holiday and probably the first thing you pack. But we just really wanted to share some information about the best beach in the Seychelles with you. Anse Source d’Argent is actually one of the most photographed shorelines in the world. You’ve definitely seen a photo of this beautiful beach at one point or another, but in real life the view is absolutely breathtaking. So you’ll definitely want a bathing suit that’s going to look great on all the photos you take there.
A Pair of Hiking Boots
One of our favourite things about the Seychelles is the number of incredible hikes for couples. For those of you without a lot of hiking experience, you can take guided tours over more accessible routes to see some of the most incredible locations the Seychelles has to offer. Alternatively if you’re looking for something to give you both a bit of a challenge, the Sans Souci and Salazie trail is rated hard. Despite the difficult scramble through some dense jungle areas, it offers some fantastic opportunities to see local wildlife and wildflowers.
Binoculars
Across the 115 islands in the Seychelles, there is a delightful range of wildlife to observe. Birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates cover the landscape. A pair of binoculars will definitely help you see some of the more elusive inhabitants. Some of our favourites are the Aldabra giant tortoise, the Seychelles tree frog, clownfish and the Hawksbill turtle. Keep an eye out for them.
A Good Camera
Whether you pack a camera or you have a phone with a good lens, you’re going to get a lot of use out of it in the Seychelles. Not counting the occasional selfie of you and your partner, there is just so much here to capture in a photo. Pristine beaches, gorgeous wildlife and beautiful landscapes are just the tip of the iceberg. Whilst you should certainly put the camera away now and then to see everything with your eyes, the photos you’ll take here will always remind you of the incredible experience you had.
